The 12 Fundy Days of Christmas

From the folks who brought you the classic hit “If There’s Hair On Your Ears “(there’s sin in your heart) comes the new song 12 Fundamental Days of Christmas.

“On the first day of Christmas the true church gave to me, a red letter KJV.” Then we’re off to six babies crying, and five comfy pews, then NO ladies dancing, NO pipers piping, and NO drummers drumming!

Thanks to Paul for the link

  1. I was disappointed. . I could only hear some of the song, and somehow, i can’t see myself buying the MP3 download. 😉

  2. Hahaha! I’m actually tempted to buy it because it’s so funny. More so because they sound funny singing. Too bad it’s not usable with Paypal…

  3. You know, Thomas, funny you mention that, because there was a time in England where baptists (yes! Baptists! in the 1600s!) were debating whether or not one should even sing in church at all, for exactly that reason (well, because they were afraid it would lead to getting carried away in the flesh, but same idea). It was a side show to whether we should sing just psalms, or perhaps psalms and hymns, with a few radicals clamoring on about “spiritual songs.”

Oh, to have lived back then! You know those commercials where the guys travel through time to learn the origins of their favorite tailgate rituals? I’d like to do that with church history. Just take a camcorder back and see what life was like back then.
