Hearing No Evil (Book Giveaway)

Book giveaways as blog promoters seem to be all the rage these days, so I’m going to jump on the bandwagon and do one too. Thankfully, instead an Old Scofield KJV signed by yours truly (the most awesome prize ever!),  loyal SFL reader  Stephen of  Eskypades has offered to stand in the gap and provide  a more recently published book.

On offer is a copy of Matthew Paul Turner’s new book Hear No Evil: My Story of Innocence, Music, and the Holy Ghost. I’ll forgo to tell you all about the book since you probably already know about it and if you don’t, you can get all the information you need from those two links.

To enter this drawing, simply leave a comment on this post or send an e-mail to book@stufffundieslike.com. Make sure that you use a valid e-mail address so I can contact the winner. This drawing will remain open for one week at which point the winner will be chosen either randomly, according to a Divine mandate, or both (depending on your Theology Proper).

The book has been graciously provided via WaterBrook Multnomah Press. So there.

  1. Marsh,

I had a vision last night. The LORD told me to tell you that you had a choice: you could either spend eternity in an ankle-length denim jumper listening to Rexella Van Impe’s album of children’s music or you could agree that He had a providential design for me to win this contest.

  2. Mark OBVIOUSLY drinks ABSINTHE. He is in no position to be the SELF-APPOINTED revelator and vision-master OF this blog. Darrell, to give him A shot at this tome is to inhabit the slippery slOPe of non-separation! I APPEAL to your EMOTION and KNEE-jerk reactive tendancies to strike him from the CONTEST!

At this point, I shall IGNORE Mark until such time as he says something that REALLY REALLY inflames ME.

  3. I know that many are trying to win this via divine mandate.
I have chosen the other approach, that is, this morning, I ran dumbly into a wall.

  4. I would enjoy this book. I love Mr. Turner’s blog, and his seeming dedication to positive living. It’s an amazing thing to overcome Fundamentalism and finally see God.

  5. If I win, I can re-sell the book and fund my trip to The Wilds this summer! I’m sewing new culottes just in case!

  6. Just read about this book and I was gonna go to border’s to buy/read it. guess I’ll have a chance to keep it.

  7. Seeing I too once aspired for CCM fame, I feel that I am all the more entitled to learning about my past misleadings! I also feel that I am divinely entitled to this grand book… 🙂

  8. I was not sure if this would be the same as gambling, so I opened my Bible for guidance and immediately (after looking it up) saw the first two words of Matthew 7:13. It was almost as if God spoke and said exactly what I wanted Him to tell me.

  9. The lot is cast in the lap and James of graceandknowledge.com of is the object of Divine Benevolence upon this day. Congrats, James.

    Thanks to everyone who entered!

  10. The people voted!!1! They wanted me to win! It’s 1824 all over again!!111!! 😛
