  1. This is all painfully familiar, right down to the “My bad” from the pianist who, bless her heart, has no idea what she’s doing, but she’s DOIN’ IT FOR THE LORD. As if the Lord didn’t demand the best in the Bible.

  2. Careful with the criticism Jordan. We’ve sung in choir together, as I recall. Thought not quite with this many “Amens” perhaps… 😀

  3. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that 90% of that song is actually pretty good, if it refers to just the Bible in general and not a particular translation. However, I’m going to go out on less of a limb and say that he was probably singing about the KJV.

    “The B-I-B-L-E!
Yes, that’s the Book for me!
    I stand alone on the…”

What comes next? If you said “Word of God” – WRONG:

“…I stand alone on the KJV,
    The B-I-B-L-E! BIBLE!!!!”

I have heard that sung. In church, and not children’s church, either. The main service.

  4. I used to go to church with this guy in Glen Burnie, MD. His name is Tim Lee. I think he’s somewhere in Michigan now.

  5. maybe that is her best and maybe no one else in the church is any better…i am all for the humor on this site, but to mock someone for serving the Lord is not good, but i guess since she attends an ifb church it is okay in your eyes…

  6. Is it a bad thing that I have heard so much bad singing in IFB churches that this guy sounds good?

    1. I didn’t think his voice was that bad…I agree with the above poster that there wasn’t much in the way of a predictable melody or meter to most of it which is what really made it seem so bad.

  7. you know he was thinking “darn it, I knew I should have married a woman who could play the piano!”
