RE: Jason Janz confesses to abuse
It sounds to me like he was trying very hard to say something without saying it.
There was a whole lot of subtext there. I love how he mentioned "blog posts" as we was wrapping up. "It doesn't help to wear a hat on your head if your posterior is exposed." ~ PW "Don't make crazy your normal and then wonder why nobody agrees with you." ~ EC |

those evil bloggers.
Darrell Dow is the worstest! And in a strange way that makes me slightly uncomfortable I love him for it. "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side" |

The Fundamentalists will throw Janz under the bus. Those who have disagreed with Janz will be quiet for a while and then point fingers and say "See I told you!"

I don't know any more about the situation than anyone else, but according to Jacelyn's FB it happened 24 years ago.
https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?s...1448110041 He is 37 years old and she is 36 years old. That would make him 13 (maybe 14) and her 12 when whatever happened happened. |

RE: Jason Janz confesses to abuse
I got dizzy reading this.
http://sharperiron.org/forum/thread-impl...helpsolson How can we support Phelps, prepare to jettison our beloved founder once there is public word about his confession, and still pretend like we are not like all these godly men who have failed to properly cover up their cover up of sin. Lets spiritualize it and blame the victim. Along with every passive agressive technique taught at fundy U. Just more proof of how complete Darrell's grasp of fundy goodthink has become http://www.stufffundieslike.com/2010/05/...-scandals/ "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side" |

RE: Jason Janz confesses to abuse
Heres another blog from a SI regular. This comment is priceless - perfect fodder for the SFL wild bunch
http://www.fundamentallyreformed.com/201.../#comments Quote:I like your comment that we shouldn’t leave the IFB because of some perceived “wrongdong” on our pastor’s part. I feel sorry for the young lady involved in this story for the perceived misconduct that she endured. But I don’t think that’s close to as bad as leaving a good church and exposing yourself to false doctrine and new evangelicalism. Did you see this so-called “church” that this young lady has now drifted to? They had a rock band and obviously are liberal! They obviously have no problems with Steve Green or Sandy “Fatty” and would actually endorse those kind of musicians. The biggest problem I see is the rebellion of the people who don’t want standards and want to go liberal churches. this has to be Poe's Law at work. This has to be a cleverly written piece of satire right? I mean no one would actually think that ...yeah, unfortunately I am not that naive. Then he followed it up with this tripe Quote:Bob, I respect your opinion and don’t mean to be unkind, but the fact of the matter is that you are way, way, way off base. Music, amongst other things, is very important. If you would have watched the show you would have seen that at the so-called “church” that this young lady now attends they have a rock band playing right up on the platform. That is worse than any so-called abuse that may have occurred at her solid, fundamentalist, separated church that she went to before. I’m beginning to doubt her story and of others like her because I think they just don’t like to have solid music standards, dress standards and other separated positions and are just using some flimsy excuse to go into a liberal, non-separated, compromising “church.” "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side" |
