It wouldn't kill them to be humble, to express sorrow or regret, to be broken, to admit they were wrong.

"Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan.

Oh, but it would! The exposure hurts the cause of Christ! Those women should have just shut up and let the Lord's ministry go unimpeded...

... and anyone who thinks I believe any of that can bite me. Yeah, it wouldn't kill them, but they think the exposure is a fate worse than death.

Keep on shining those lights, everyone. These jokers cannot be allowed to do their dirty deeds to women and children in the dark for another minute, and they cannot be allowed to hide behind their perversion of God.

I think those on Sharper Iron will be silent about this. It will look incredibly bad since Janz is the one who started Sharper Iron. It was his own private business until the guy who presentl;y owns it bought it from him.

The guy from the Mama's & Papa's carried on an incestuous relationship with his daughter for years. I think that song should be the soundtrack to any incest confessions.

Oh, it might!

Is there any independent verification of this? There's a posting on Facebook and on the FFF board, and obviously here. But that's it. No message or statement on the church website. Nothing on SI. Who is making these reports?

I'm waiting for the same thing.

The rumor mill says SI is waiting for Jason's "official" response which is expected Thursday.

You don't need to see his identification, these aren't the droids you're looking for...

RE: Jason Janz confesses to abuse
If you can stomach it, listen to the chapel sermon from today by good ol' Kerry McGonigal.

I really don't know what I was expecting. Not much. A denouncement of abusive behavior in the church? A acknowledgment of an individual's wrong-doing and clarification that his and other abusers aren't following "Biblical mandates" and BJ doesn't endorse them? Righteous indignation has been gagged and thrown in a closet.

I'm a chronic optimist and pathologically hope for the better side of people to win out.... Is there a cure for that? Dodgy I don't know why I even bother hoping for anything anymore.

I cried after chapel. I'm crying right now.
