RE: "Full Time Christian Ministry"
My mother was big on this one. I've been told she cried for 3 days, locked in her room, when my brother told her he was NOT going to be a missionary. She told him he was her last hope of having one of her children in FTCM. It wasn't enough that I had spent 4 years making less than minimum wage, teaching at a Christian school. I HAD to leave teaching b/c I could NOT live on the salary. It wasn't about US serving; it was about HER having a child in FTCM.

My oldest is only 6, but I want her to know that she is free to follow whatever interests her. No sir. We call that Mr. Coffee. |

RE: "Full Time Christian Ministry"
My mom has serious problems. My sister and I are convinced she has borderline personality disorder. Add that to being an extreme fundy...

RE: "Full Time Christian Ministry"
Unfortunately, my oldest son fell into the “you must be in FTCM to be right with God” trap and attended WCBC for two years before realizing the absurdity of it all.
Here is an article that I found to be extremely encouraging to him and myself regarding the matter… http://www.bereanbiblesociety.org/articl...21726.html I hope it will be an encouragement to some of you as well. |
