RE: Hephzibah House
It's Passover, and hearing the story of Exodus again made me think of Hephzibah again.

A few months after I posted the OP, CNN (Anderson Cooper) did a report on HH including an ambush on Ron Williams. It's too bad that Huffington Post didn't pick it up.

Somebody picked it up. The documentary is still being shopped around.

RE: Hephzibah House
My fundy pastor told the congregation this past Wednesday that none of the allegations against HH have ever been proven true. He said the the girls bringing the allegations are now "avowed lesbians" (I didn't even know that was a thing you could be), and they're just bitter at a man of God because they never received the gospel.

Bingo!

(in the "I just won Fundy Bingo" sense, not in the "well obviously" sense.)

Hard to prove them in court when HH hides behind the ministry exemptions in certain states and refuses to allow investigators. Even if the beatings were not true, the tactics are still emotionally abusive.

Yes, saying that they've never been proven true is really only of value if the organisation has allowed itself to be fairly investigated and it still can't be proven true.
