Are your old fundy friends still your friends?

My old church wasn't as fundy as some of the churches I read about here, but it did follow one of the most egregious traits...MoG worship. My departure was prompted by a geographic move, so most of them would have remained my friend, until I publicly criticized the MoG. At that point I was ostracized by a number of people. Some knew it was wrong and came back around, and still others wouldn't pee on me to put out a fire.

My father stayed after I left (he was a 30 year plus member), and we asked the MoG to speak at my father's funeral, but he declined when he found out I would be speaking as well. He even refused to attend the funeral. Instead he opted to honor my dad at their church service the following Sunday. I, of course, was not invited.
