Me too. I read the sample. Looks good.

Putting that on my list for when I buy my kindle

Ordered this book from Amazon and it came yesterday. Very good read so far. He writes well. There's a lot of history in the beginning, but I think it's important because it lays the ground-work for his family. Besides, I love history. Can't wait to finish it.

RE: The Sword of the Lord: The Roots of Fundamentalism in an American Family
I read this book last weekend. It included a lot of history, but it was very interesting. Every chapter included a snippet from the author's childhood, many of which I could easily relate to. It also helped me fill in the blanks of my childhood memory (what I heard my dad, a pastor, say), and what was actually going on in the fundamentalist world at the time. While I didn't agree with everything the author wished to convey, I find it refreshing that, well, that's the point. You don't have to agree with everything someone else says to learn from them.

I'm about 85% done with it but life keeps getting in the way. I hope to have the review up by next week.
