This video is incredibly sad.
I know Westboro is their own version of wackos, and that 99% of Fundies totally disagree with them, but I think that in the most severe Fundy households, if a child left and rejected what he/she was taught growing up, this is what would happen. |

I agree: this video is incredibly sad. That these kids are being brainwashed to hate everyone in the name of pleasing a loving, merciful God - this is precipitously close to child abuse.

Listening to those little kids made my stomach do somersaults, I thought I was going to be physically ill. But hearing what Lauren had to say gave me great hope: "God doesn't hate everyone, God has mercy on people." It's not too late for those kids. I pray that they will find the way out like their sister has.

I actually saw this on TV. I agree that it is incredibly sad. I just wish I were able to take their minds and just change them. I guess all we can do is pray for them.
