RE: Decision Making and the Will of God
Was perhaps the book that got me out of my personal Fundamentalist funk around 1986 (?). One of my friends from BBC talks to Frieson on a regular basis.
I mean, the idea of the "bulls eye" is not in and of itself a bad thing if it's kept in perspective. That said, I knew many a guy and girl in school that "had to find THE man or woman of God's 'perfect' will" before they graduated...As a result, some of the perceived "best and brightest" of BBC ended up in divorce because they jumped before they looked. Therefore, they "earnestly prayed"...and God gave the MAN 'special' permission to divorce. The reason I mention all this is because the consequences of wrong teaching about this very subject can be a disaster that effects the rest of someone's life. Having a 'How 'bout them Cincinnati Reds?' day...and waiting for the other shoe drop... |
