Hello all!
I'm not really sure if I'm supposed to be here, but here I am. I've always enjoyed reading the SFL, and thought I might enjoy perusing the forum. In a nutshell, I was raised in the Pentecostal church--Assemblies of God on one side and Church of God--Cleveland, TN on the other. Markedly different from IFB, yes, but I still note many similarities when I read posts, comments, etc. I drifted away in college (becoming a rather unrepentant homosexual probably had something to do with that...), but as I'm fond of saying, you can take the gay boy out of the church, but you can't take the church out of the gay boy. I wanted to use another word besides "gay boy" but didn't want to get banned on my first day here! Anyway, thanks for letting me register and I look forward to reading and commenting when I feel led. I had a high school friend who was Pentecostal and her church was actually more fundy than my Baptist church and parents. |

Yeah, you fit in fine.
