Does that make it natural? That's quite a leap from loving to killing and eating. Exactly what point were you trying to make about gay people there? Can you not see what that shows about your true attitude towards gay people? I'm not comparing sexual feelings to killing, but saying that there are unnatural things that happen in nature because of our fallen world. Yes, part of my uncle's problems are probably because of the Christians he's known in his life (before I was even born). I only brought him up to show that I don't have any hatred toward gays. There is a difference between loving someone, and having sexual feelings for someone. Obviously, sometimes they go together, but you can have one without the other. For example, I love many of my friends, who are girls. I am closer with some girls than others, but I have never had sexual feelings for any of them. If I did start having sexual feelings toward another female, I would ask the Lord to help me with that, because I know it is sinful. My relationship with my husband did not start with sexual attraction. It started with a friendship that grew and we were best friends before we got into a romantic relationship with each other. Obviously, because I'm heterosexual, I have been attracted to guys since I hit puberty. At the same time, now that I'm married, I would ask for the Lord's help if I ever started feeling some kind of attraction toward another man who isn't my husbad, because I don't want that kind of sin to take place, either. Lust is wrong, just like homosexuality is wrong. |
