Cats
CATS

Cats sleep
Anywhere,
Any table,
Any chair.
Top of piano,
Window-ledge,
In the middle,
On the edge.
Open drawer,
Empty shoe,
Anybody’s lap will do.
Fitted in a
Cardboard box,
In the cupboard
With your frocks-
Anywhere!
They don’t care!
Cats sleep
Anywhere.

Sometimes in a doll stroller.

Sometimes under covers like a person.

No one helped him find either of these places. He put himself under the blanket. My poor daughter's doll beds are covered in fur and this is his "why did you wake me" face. Happy Friday!

RE: Cats
lol, cute kitty! We have one DMH with fluffy black fur and an orange tabby. It never fails -- the black likes to get on anyone who is wearing light-colored clothes, and the tabby prefers people wearing dark-colored clothes. They're rotten.

RE: Cats
Awww! Cute kitty!

Right now, we have a grumpy old black male and a chubby pale orange tabby. They both rather look like they've been through the wars -- grumpy because he had to have one ear mattressed for a hematoma and chubby lost about 1.5 inches (and three rings) from her tail. We've had as many as 5, though. My hubby doesn't understand why I keep replacing them...

My black cat loves to sleep in a basket I keep on top of the dryer for white socks looking for their mate. Smile

I love cats! If not for my husband, I would be a crazy cat lady!

RE: Cats
I've got a tortoise-shell cat that I literally found on my doorstep one night.

RE: Cats
I believe two cats, Marshmellow and Nutmeg helped keep my son from going over the edge before he was diagnosed with Dysesthesia while in the military. They gave him something to care about.... They are devoted to him and follow him around like puppies (of course that might also be because he insists on feeding them 'people food' which I always see again later....Smile

They are cute little cats.

RE: Cats
We've had over 20 cats in our married lifetime. We like to name them after ancient foreign gods. Bastet, Loki, Isis, Gilgamesh, Baron Saturday. Rumpleteaser, Snafu and Fubar are also good names for cats.

Oh, and our current male, Gilgamesh, likes to sleep in the bathroom sink.

RE: Cats
I had two black cats before I got married. They died last year and the year before. I'd love to get another one, but DH doesn't want pets. I'm not entirely sure why. I have to say, I don't miss the hair or the litter box, but I sure miss the lovin'.
