This was just begging to happen with a zero tolerance policy that bans anything with even the appearance of a weapon. How does that even work? A policy that broad is just waiting to look really stupid.

That's just crazy.

My husband is hard of hearing as well. In fact, he's 50% deaf.

When he was a child, his teachers set before him a few things and asked him what he would like to play with. He picked the toy pistol b/c he liked to play cowboys and Indians. The teachers showed up at his house without an appointment and told his parents that he would grow up to be a murderer. They threw them out pronto. It's just a PC knee jerk reaction. And this was over 30 years ago that this happened. Jeeze. Guns aren't evil, people are.

To a deaf person, their name sign IS their name! They are asking this boy to change his name. I'm usually against lawsuits like this, but I feel they need to set a presidencies (sp), so that this cannot happen again.
