Of Monsters and Men
Anybody listen to these guys? I am addicted to their sound, interesting lyrics, and the accent of their voices. They are from Iceland, so their English has a very interesting accent.

Nah, more like folk rock. Folk rock is actually getting popular all over the world right now-- I love it!

Yes, they have a banjo, but I'm not sure you can call a British band "bluegrass." haha Their new album is quite interesting. RE: Of Monsters and Men
England actually has a pretty cool folk scene. Johnny Flynn, Laura Marling, Dry the River, and of course Mumford & Sons.
In fact, folk is making a comeback all around the globe. Even American Idol has jumped on the bandwagon-- manufacturing the less-than-authentic Phillip Phillips (Sorry, I just tend to despise anyone who gets their start on those idol shows; I just kinda always assume they're sell-outs. Does that make me a hipster? )EDIT: Hmmmmm.... Now that I think about it, why am I complaining? If mainstream music is ditching the autotune for folksy goodness, how is that a bad thing? ^___^ Did I just do a complete 180 in the space of half an hour? Maybe.

RE: Of Monsters and Men
I've liked Mumford & Sons from the first song I heard from them. I think it was The Cave. Of Monsters and Men didn't thrill me at first, but they're growing on me.

Mumford and Son and the Avett Brothers are growing on me too.

RE: Of Monsters and Men
I wasn't all that swept away by the Avett Brothers. It's funny, because everyone expects me to be, cuz they're the most popular folk band right now supposedly. But thy've got nothin' on Johnny Flynn
