I love (most) Southern Gospel and Contemporary Christian, but it's nice to feel free to listen to a secular song and not feel guilty. Two of my favorites right now are "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry and "Best Thing I Never Had" by Beyonce. I'm still exploring the new, vast world of music that has opened up to me, so I still don't know a lot of artists, but I'm learning (and will watch these videos posted here when I have access to a computer as most of them are unfortunately not available on mobile). I still don't feel right listening to rock, but I am enjoying a lot of other music. Of course I still have to do all this in secret and hope my parents and church don't find out, but it feels great to listen to it on the radio in my car and not feel like I'm in sin! I remember when I first ventured forth from the cocoon of classical (which I still love) and conservative Christian music that I had been raised in. There is such a wealth of great music out there, including a lot of great rock music that I hope you will soon be able to listen to with a clear conscience. Happy listening!
