These guys are very good live. I've seen them in rough bars prior to their recent album, and in very nice venues since.

I took a break from metal and broke out the oldies. This song may have been released two decades before I was born, but it's still good.

Sigh No More by Mumford and Sons, a British folk-rock band with a butt-kicking banjo. Every song on the album is wonderful, but I especially like Roll Away Your Stone: "Seems that all my bridges have been burnt/You say that's exactly how this grace thing works/It's not the long walk home that will change this heart/But the welcome I receive with the restart."
(Learned about the album from a Facebook post by my former (PCA) pastor, which demonstrates another benefit of leaving IFB-dom. Particularly entertaining as Little Lion Man contains repeated instances of a Very Naughty Word.) |
