I'm a big film score geek, and this is one of my top 5 favorite tracks.

One of my favorite songs from my favorite band Sum 41. It's one of their quieter songs....

Here's one of their louder ones. =)

I'm not too crazy about the dance-pop (Lady Gaga, etc.) but every once in a while a song grabs me. This one by Robyn is one of my favorites. A little weird at the beginning, but the song itself starts around the :30 mark.

@ diachenko- howdy. We have never spoken (or typed is the more proper term) directly. We have posted in the same threads, laughed at the same things (ban the person thread), debated on the same and different sided of issues, but I have never directly addressed you.

I feel I must. You, sir, have a the oddest tastes in music I have ever heard. No seriously, I’m a high school teacher, and I have heard it all. The emo kids, the rap kids the metal kids, the death metal kids, the hardcore kids, the techno kids, the rave kids, the my-dads-Doors-and Zeppelin-album kids. All pale in comparison to the weird songs you post up here. Smile

You, sir, are one unique individual.

Why thank you! Whenever I put my ipod on "shuffle" I often think the same thing: what a strange eclectic mix of music I like. What can I say, I've never tried to restrict myself to a specific genre or artist. Genre wise, I love classical music and film scores. After that, it's pretty much on a song-by-song basis. If I like it, I like it. I don't care who the song is by or if I hate all their other work, or if it's "not cool" to like them.
So, here's a couple more songs I like. Very different. Smile

I have a playlist called "singletons." these are songs by an artist that stand alone. either i don't like anything else by them, or it's really obscure and i can't find anything else by them. i like to use "pandora" to find new artist in a genre. seems like i have to wade through alot of crap, but i have found some very cool new stuff on pandora.

BTW, the city of ember is an AWESOME book (YA book anyway). i loved it. did not see the movie. the soundtrack was pretty nice. I would say my 2 fav film scores/ soundtracks .... "Last of the Mohicans"

and "Oh Brother, Where art Thou?"

RE: Music I Happen To Be Listening To
@Shoes - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the soundtrack to "Last of the Mohicans." I actually brought it to the hospital to listen to when I was in labor with my first child. ("Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou" has great songs, BTW.)

I've just started listening to Dirt Poor Robins and their song "Rise Up" is AWESOME! The beginning is from Job, and then the chorus is incredibly encouraging. Among the powerful words which really speak to me are these: " Though you may feel you are alone, Left disregarded
You're in the flock of He who shepherds lost and broken hearted"

And then I also REALLY enjoy their song "Human After All". Hauntingly sad and so evocative. I'd love to see a well-done video to go with this song:

"Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan.
