Top Gear?
Just curious if there are any other Top Gear fans (British original version, not American or Australian knockoffs).

RE: Top Gear?
I've watched it a few times but I'm just not a "car" person.

In fact I mostly hate anything mechanical in nature. So the show lacks some amount of appeal for me.

RE: Top Gear?
I enjoy Top Gear quite a bit. Top Gear has a lot of fun challenges that I enjoy watching, The Sting (obviously), and the celebrity speed run that's always a good watch.

5th Gear is a good one, too, for more technical, road test aspects.

Forget the fear/it's just a crutch/that tries to hold you back/and turn your dreams to dust.

I don't watch it for the cars. Once in a while I like watching one, or hearing their descriptions of it.

I watch it for the interplay among the three presenters, and the challenges their producers set them.

The drive across South America, the time they had to make their own amphibious vehicles, the time they had to make their own campers, motorhome racing, Jeremy driving a three-wheeled Reliant Robin...fall down, laugh out loud funny.

I love Top Gear. Smile I am not really that mechanically-inclined when it comes to cars, but I like the challenges they do.

RE: Top Gear?
I liked the episode where they raced an Apache helicopter.

And the time their camper caught on fire.

There was an interesting one where they bought some clunkers and traveled across the American south. The sight of that one guy trying to listen to some traditional black gospel music on the radio by taking it out and shaking it around was hilarious.

Yes, I liked that one, too. Just saw the one last night where they take on TOp Gear Australia. They race the cars where they have two on top of each other, and the top car has the steering wheel and the bottom has the gas and brakes. They had done that before, only for the Aussies they flipped the top car upside down and made them race with the steer-er hanging from the four point harness up above.
