Apparently this sort of pose works for some people, but when I see it I want to run the other way. Or laugh.

I see it as a gag photo. I've seen plenty of people do gangsta poses. They can be especially funny if you know the person and they are nothing like that in real life.

As for these guys, I think that's about as close to fun as they can get.

According to the church's pastor, the revival is July 8-15. Based on his tweets, I think we should take a collection to buy him a new keyboard as one of the keys seems to be missing or broken.

I think its funny that Hamblin's stance leaves him wide open for an uppercut/body shot combo. Mendez at least looks like a pugilist. Which is probably how he preaches.

Isn't that weird? For all their talk (and sometimes screaming) about the simple gospel and just believing what Jesus says and everything is so simple and clear and they all follow the Bible, these verses seem to be largely ignored. I've met a few fundy pastors who are gentle, self-controlled, temperate and respectable–absolutely. But they were way outnumbered by the arrogant, yelling, argumentative, impatient, quarrelsome and hard men.

It's so easy for us humans to swing to extremes instead of staying in the middle of the path.

A man of God must be both humble but also courageous, gentle but also righteous, courteous but also truthful. He must be willing to defend the weak and protect the helpless. He must say hard truths but say them with love and compassion. Jesus blessed the little children but also used a whip to drive the money-changers out of the temple; He is our example of meekness and strength.
