IDK how to post screen shots of a FB page, but these are some gems from the Modesty and "Christian Womanhood" FB pages.

Pretty sure that her "DH" will also have to visit her again if she wants to get pregnant Wink

Not to mention, I'm a little weirded out by the fact that she says, "maybe daddy will permit us..." Two problems here: 1. "permit"
2. "us" as if she and the baby are siblings both waiting for daddy's approval

The next one is even better, as it shows just how to respond to people who don't believe the same way you do:

Your topic title is spot on. Number 1 would be true 200 years ago and "Love Michelle" doesn't realize that her family situation isn't a one-size-fits-all sort of thing.

If someone I didn't know butted into my conversation with friends, I'd have a few choice words for her....

How rude can people be???? Why are Christians some of the nastiest, rudest people on the planet? (and yes, I realize not ALL of them are so don't jump on me)

Because they think God supports their opinions. How often have you heard one of them say they don't care who they offend in the name of Jesus?

Ok, depending on his reasons, I hope I would have enough backbone to look at my husband and say, "You are being unreasonable. This is your baby we are talking about here. If it is going to be best to breastfeed, I am going to breastfeed." A woman's body was made to feed her baby, and a baby's body was made to thrive off of it. (I realize some mothers can't breastfeed, so I am not talking about them.) Also, what possible reason, other then a very selfish one, could a husband have for not wanting his wife to breastfeed their child!?

How does Michelle know the reasons for this person, who she does not know, wanting to get her tubes tied? Could be she needs too! Could be her body can't take having any more babies. Could be she has had 3 or 4 c-sections and doesn't want to run the risk of some very bad things happening should she get pregnant again. (Those things happened to my mom. Very nasty stuff and lead to the loss of my baby sister and hysterectomy for my mom. If they hadn't have caught it, my mom would have died, leaving 6 children under the age of 17.) Could be she is in a situation where she just doesn't want anymore children. Could be she is tired of raising the ones she has alone, like so many families where the dad is there, but still absent. We don't know and neither does this Michelle, who felt the need to be such a righteous Christian mother that she needed to jump in and judge this person.

But of course, in order to be a holier-than-thou Christian and superior mother, you must pop out babies until you physically can't take it anymore and are either so sick you can't take care of the ones you have, or you do the really noble thing and die for one child while essentially telling your other children, "Sorry, this one means more to me than the rest of you. Some people need to learn to keep their big fat meddling noses out of other people's business. If that Michelle had stepped in and said those things to me, I would have had a few choice words for her.

EDIT: Sorry, I just realized the person Michelle was talking about was only having her second child. So the multiple c-section thing is out of the question. But then again, she is stopping at 2. How dare her! Dodgy

I hate how strangers butt in on conversations that are none of their damn business. Right before I had my hysterectomy a few weeks ago, it seemed that everyone had an opinion about it. One of my friends works at a local clothing store, and I was chatting with her as I shopped, and said mentioned I was having the surgery. This one woman, who had been following me around the whole store stalking me (well, it felt like it), butted in and said "Hey, can I ask you a question if you don't mind?" So I said. "No, you can't ask me because yes I do mind, I don't even know you." Then SHE got mad at ME saying *I* was rude. I am so sick of people's opinions about my hysterectomy (well, other than my close friends and people that know what is going on, most of them supported me even the ones that didn't agree with it).

Of course it won't be forgotten. In fact, I'm quite sure that the woman you rudely preached at is telling everyone and everyone about the completely psycho stranger who tried to tell her what to do with her own life.

Actually, unless one is intimately acquainted with this woman, it's almost impossible to say how many uterine surgeries or even csections she's had. I knew a woman with two children who had had three csections -- her first child was given up for adoption.

Her body, her business, and Michelle needs to keep her nose in her own uterus and out of everyone else's.
