An Apology to the Atheists

RE: An Apology to the Atheists
I wasn't under the impression greg made this thread because he thought he was censored. He says, and I take him at his word, that he posted this thread because he felt it would be further infringing to go back and post in the non-believer safe space.

Forget the fear/it's just a crutch/that tries to hold you back/and turn your dreams to dust.

In my haste this AM to share a story about an actual heterosexual, catholic priest monster abuser (I don't see many of them, most pedophilic catholic priest abusers are homosexuals, abusing only little boys) that was plastered on the front page of my local paper I inadvertently jumped on a thread started by Zadig about another pastor caught up in sexual abuse and didn't realize I was in the non-believer safe place.

Safe-places are vital for all us and I do apologize for my transgression, I would have apologized on the non-believer safe place but I didn't want to traumatize further those atheists that took my mistake so hard in the first place.

Alright then, I'm sorry, now please go back to not believing. I do appreciate the strength of your faith.

He posted it as a sarcastic apology so he could take a dig at several people since he didn't have a big enough audience in the non-believer forum.

For the record, no one took his "mistake" hard and, as the saying goes, thinking atheism is a religion is like thinking not collecting stamps is a hobby. And I doubt the accuracy of his dig at homosexual priests as well.

That's a bit of a non-sequitur.

RE: An Apology to the Atheists
Meh. greg chucked a tantrum when the safe-spaces were originally introduced. He seems to believe that he has a right to spread his crap, I mean message, everywhere he goes. So now, instead of being tactful in the first place (which I don't think he can be, so maybe that's not really his fault), he will say what he wants to say, and then come to a public place to apologise. This means:

- he can still say the hateful crap he wanted to say anyway
- he can make a big deal about how he is a good guy after all, see? He apologised
- he can remind everyone that "free speech isn't being tolerated" or whatever. Every time it happens.

Unfortunately, the above only applies when he gets told off in a safe space. He doesn't think he needs to apologise for hateful stuff he says in the shout box, or anywhere else for that matter.

RE: An Apology to the Atheists
OK, I am new here and am still figuring out this board's dynamics.

But - Flat out, don't make spurious "apologies". It's dishonest, and IMO, fools no one.

Even more so, don't present yourself as a great Christian, or even as a growing Christian, while making spurious apologies.

Start by being honest with yourself. You won't be honest with anyone else until you learn to be honest with yourself.

Grandma,

Here's how it works:

Greg is the resident troll. He has a bridge over yonder. Many of us visit it more often than we should. Tongue

"I follow K.I.S.S. theology. Keep It Simple cause I'm Stupid.
1. Trust and Love God.
2. Love others.
These 2 K.I.S.S. beliefs cover 99% of my decision making processes. The remaining 1% are covered by mental illness". - JimE

Are the non-collecting stamp people running around everyday of their lives complaining about how stupid, irrational and outright dumb it is to collect stamps...........thank you...Cool

Well, no. But in all fairness, the stamp collectors aren't out everyday trying to get others to collect stamps too and lobbying politicians to incorporate various aspects of stamp collecting into legislation and pushing schools to include aspects of stamp collecting in curriculum.

Quote:Biblical nutrition classes approved, starting soon

By Kim Walter -- kwalter@nvdaily.com

With a conditional use permit approved by the Warren County Board of Supervisors last week, Cheryl Anderson plans to hold registration for her biblical nutrition classes, which will be taught at her home in Bentonville.

Registration will take place at 4:30 p.m. on July 8 at Dynamic Life Praise and Worship Center in Front Royal, and will be followed by an introductory teaching session.

The classes and curriculum are based on "The Hallelujah Diet," a Bible-based vegan lifestyle developed by Hallelujah Acres.

Anderson became a vegan about six years ago when she first read about the diet, which is based on Genesis 1:29: "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat [food]."

After Anderson changed her lifestyle, she took it a step further and took online classes to become a health minister. She also went to the Hallelujah Acres facility in North Carolina to continue her education on the diet.

Oh, joy! Someone is teaching more people about the Hallelujah Diet. /sarcam

I remember hearing the guy who came up with it speak once. Malkimus or something like that. Claims that he hasn't had so much as a cold since starting it. Doesn't need to wear deodorant because he doesn't have secretions from all the processed food. No caffeine, sugar, bread, meat, and probably some other stuff as I recall.

My family did it for a while when I was a kid. I'll eat my meat, thank you very much.
