RE: An Apology to the Atheists
I wasn't under the impression greg made this thread because he thought he was censored. He says, and I take him at his word, that he posted this thread because he felt it would be further infringing to go back and post in the non-believer safe space.
Forget the fear/it's just a crutch/that tries to hold you back/and turn your dreams to dust. |

He posted it as a sarcastic apology so he could take a dig at several people since he didn't have a big enough audience in the non-believer forum. For the record, no one took his "mistake" hard and, as the saying goes, thinking atheism is a religion is like thinking not collecting stamps is a hobby. And I doubt the accuracy of his dig at homosexual priests as well. |

That's a bit of a non-sequitur.

RE: An Apology to the Atheists
Meh. greg chucked a tantrum when the safe-spaces were originally introduced. He seems to believe that he has a right to spread his crap, I mean message, everywhere he goes. So now, instead of being tactful in the first place (which I don't think he can be, so maybe that's not really his fault), he will say what he wants to say, and then come to a public place to apologise. This means:
- he can still say the hateful crap he wanted to say anyway - he can make a big deal about how he is a good guy after all, see? He apologised - he can remind everyone that "free speech isn't being tolerated" or whatever. Every time it happens. Unfortunately, the above only applies when he gets told off in a safe space. He doesn't think he needs to apologise for hateful stuff he says in the shout box, or anywhere else for that matter. Our love is the digital transfer of information ![]()

RE: An Apology to the Atheists
OK, I am new here and am still figuring out this board's dynamics.
But - Flat out, don't make spurious "apologies". It's dishonest, and IMO, fools no one. Even more so, don't present yourself as a great Christian, or even as a growing Christian, while making spurious apologies. Start by being honest with yourself. You won't be honest with anyone else until you learn to be honest with yourself. |

Grandma,
Here's how it works: Greg is the resident troll. He has a bridge over yonder. Many of us visit it more often than we should.
"I follow K.I.S.S. theology. Keep It Simple cause I'm Stupid. 1. Trust and Love God. 2. Love others. These 2 K.I.S.S. beliefs cover 99% of my decision making processes. The remaining 1% are covered by mental illness". - JimE |

Well, no. But in all fairness, the stamp collectors aren't out everyday trying to get others to collect stamps too and lobbying politicians to incorporate various aspects of stamp collecting into legislation and pushing schools to include aspects of stamp collecting in curriculum. |
