Stupidity Again Runs Rampant
Yesterday Oreo cookies posted this picture-
![]() And now guess what fundies are up in arms about? Yep, The newest product to be boycotted is the Oreo Cookie. Guess we'll now have to drink our ice cold milk with a Hydrox. It just won't taste the same. Some people get cool hallucinations that tell them to kill people. Mine just try to get me into trouble. Paul Southworth |

RE: Stupidity Again Runs Rampant
The thing about separation is that it's impossible to keep oneself completely isolated. There's no way to avoid it. I remember people saying not to shop in grocery stores that sold alcohol and I wondered where one WOULD shop since every store I'd ever been in had a liquor aisle.
"Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan. |

RE: Stupidity Again Runs Rampant
My kids would think the rainbow cookie is cool and ask about June 25 and pride. It's a consumer's choice to vote with their pocketbook. I try not to buy cookies in the first place, so my buying habits won't be changed.
This same EVIL Kraft Foods company also donated thousands of Kool-Aid drink pouches in lunches provided to 175 kids each day over the summer in our church's school district. This helps feed the kids that get free lunch during the school year. Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes. Oscar Wilde |

It's all stupid. Politicizing food just bad PR. Boycotting a company that politicizes food is dumb and largely unenforceable.
Remember the Disney boycott? We still went to Disneyworld and bought the movies, and we were committed SBC'ers at the time. The Ark was built by a lone amateur, and the Titanic was built by an impressive group of professionals. |

RE: Stupidity Again Runs Rampant
I knew a die hard fundy preacher whose idea of an "after lunch snack" was two oreos sandwiched by about 3 tablespoons of peanut butter, times 2 or 3.
Oddly, he and his whole family were tremendously overweight... Behold, what manner of love is this, that Christ should be arraigned and we adorned; that the curse should be laid on His head and the crown set on ours. –Thomas Watson |
