More Hidalgo Drama
Although the other thread is closed, I think this is a more-or-less different subject. If not and Darrell wished to cut off all discussion of the Hidalgo Grain Company website, then I apologize for circumventing the lock.

In any event, Hidalgo is still posting on his blog, updating the front page twice a day with responses to various things.

The point of interest for us? He seems to be replying to things being posted on this website here.

That's my take, anyway. What's yours? And what does this say about the situation? I say, just reopen the blog already if that's what he's going to do. What he's doing is eroding any sympathy he was receiving for what happened.

So he's reading this? Alright, hidalgo, you are a jerk for posting the things you did about chris peterman. You are a tool and I don't like you. Also, the inaccuracies and general nastiness of your posts mean there's no point in reading your site. As a commenter, you are worthless.

I am not going to threaten you, and I will not support anyone who does. If chris wants to sue you for defamation, I'd support him whole heartedly, however.

Also, you suck.

Actually I thought that despite people's thinking he was annoying/rude/whatever he was insignificant. I thought he wasn't in any of the BJU circles at all, not any of the other anti-BJU groups. I might classify him as his own group.

RE: More Hidalgo Drama
I enjoyed his blog for awhile. It was humorous and fun to read. But the Chris Peterman thing started to get real old real fast. Same with his on-going feud with Camille, et al. Even though I think he made some really good points with these groups it was like, enough already! The latest now is that Hidalgo was 'sold' to a Chinese company. I still think he's got something up his sleeve and I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back somewhere, somehow.

I had noticed the chinese writing on the factory picture for a few days. This is a plan of some sort. Daisy just gave him some sort of impetus/excuse.

RE: More Hidalgo Drama
I found this site as a result of following the Peterman story, which led me to Daisy Deadhead's sites, which led me to the Hidalgo Grain Co. blog which led me here.

What I'm confused about is the nature of the blog called the Hidalgo Grain Company. Why was it called that? It appeared to be nothing more than a blog that had nothing to do with grain. I thought maybe it was some sort of metaphor of separating the wheat from the chaff but now the guy who owned it claims he sold it and the entire company. Who would buy a wordpress blog url? Is there an actual grain company or is the owner just crazy? Or maybe he's just trying to be funny.

Plus it sounds like he's implying BJ IV threatened him.

If I remember correctly, he was originally from Hidalgo, IL.

Gives a history of Hidalgo.
I believe that the actual name of the HGC was in a work of fiction as well but I cannot remember which.

RE: More Hidalgo Drama
I realize there are other references to the word Hidalgo but what I'm curious about is the blog owners statement below:

Quote:The Hidalgo Grain Company

It is done.

After much wrangling, The Hidalgo Grain Company is no more – the entire company – the structures, the property, the sense, the thought – and, most importantly, the debt – has been purchased by a Chinese corporation from Ningbo called “The Happy Joy Grain Company” — that’s a rough translation.

Since I’m not Chinese and the Chinese buyers were not well versed in Jasper County Illinois English – we needed a translator. It was nearly impossible to find a translator in nearby Newton or Greenup, let alone Hidalgo, but find one we did. After much smiling, nodding, signing and shaking of hands, we managed to seal the deal.

The Chinese loved our local translator so much, that he was offered a full-time position at The Happy Joy Grain Company. (Good luck, Eric!)

But, as I left Jasper County for the last time and headed south, one thing bothered me…

I’m still not sure that my Chinese buyers understand exactly what they purchased.

Or what they’re selling…

Did he actually sell nothing more than the URL to a free wordpress blog to unsuspecting Chinese who thought they were buying a legitimate grain company?

RE: More Hidalgo Drama
Oh, that guy didn't sell anything. He's making it all up as a creative venture because he really doesn't want to quit blogging, but he does feel the pressure to stop doing the BJU-related stuff for now due to the threats.

He has always spoken in metaphors and fictional elements such as his lawyer guy, Eric.
