Lord save us from your followers-Netflix
Came across this movie on Netflix. I thought it was really good.
It didn't strike me as "Christians are ALL a bunch of jerks." It inspired me to refect on how I treat people not just as a Christian but as a human being. The mistreatment of people who are gay was a theme, and Tony Campolo told a story about a boy he called Roger. Long story short, Roger committed suicide because of the bullying and taunting he endured in his school. Heart wrenching. Anyone else seen this movie? Other parts that were good I thought just highlighted how arrogant we as followers of Christ might come across to others. Night Strike was profiled. They are a mission team who work with the homeless in Portland, Oregon. They (at least according to the movie) were the most Christ-like mission I have ever seen). They truly got out there with homeless people and it was to love one another. They washed feet, provided new socks, had a meal with the homeless person one on one, it was amazing to watch this! I also watched "Selling God." Also, very cool. A little irreverent in places. That movie also made many good points.. I'd recommend both if you have netflix! Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.--Howard Zinn |

I've seen that book. I didn't know there was a film with it. I'll check it out.
