If I had the money, I'd be doing the same thing for my dear old ex pastor Schaap, but alas, since I've stopped tithing, I've amassed over $3,000 in dental bills. all because I stopped tithing. not because of poor dental hygene for the past ... my entire life. not because of that at all!

On the plus side, it seems that thousands of dollars have been donated to organisations that support the gay and lesbian community in that pastor's name. What men mean for evil, God can still use for good.

What's more interesting is that doesn't surprise most of us one bit! Having come from southern uber-fundy circles I'm SURE our MOGs said MUCH worse things than what this guy said. I now wish I'd have saved some of our sermons on cassette so you could hear just how crazy they were.

I read your above post as "Layoff my pastor" and was confused at first but glad you put the second part in there to give me an idea about what he really meant.

I think these idiots should be strung up on the news so the world can see just how hateful and stupid they really are. Maybe it will save lots of potential members of their church from getting into that nonsense.
