RE: Passive Aggressive
HAHHAHAHAHHA
Notice how all the sermons by women are labeled as "lessons" If you aint gonna suffer a woman to preach, then don't!!!!!!! "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side" |

I'm glad I read the warning before listening to any sermons preached by this man. The Fellowship of Post-Fundamentalists |

RE: Passive Aggressive
The whole thing reads like a preachers hall of fame or something. The disclaimer under Jack Hyles made me laugh though.
"I falter where I firmly trod, And falling with my weight of cares Upon the great world's altar-stairs That slope thro' darkness up to God, I stretch lame hands of faith, and grope, And gather dust and chaff, and call To what I feel is Lord of all, And faintly trust the larger hope." Alfred Tennyson |

RE: Passive Aggressive
The "Ungodly Southern Gospel Music" tab kinda caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting that to be spoken against. Of course, the IFB hates GVB and the "Crab" (sic) Family anyway, but I'm surprised these crazies didn't classify them as CCM artists.

The BJ/FBF types would lump CCM and Southern Gospel together, but lots more fundys don't. I was raised in a church that loved SG but preached long and hard against CCM. The whole genre of CCM is wicked, but they are capable of exercising some judgment when it comes to SG because they like it. It's amazing how broadminded fundys can become when they find something they like. PCC, Crown, Ambassador and West Coast all use SG to one extent or another. I heard a PCC ensemble a few months ago, and it was like a Singing News Top 25 show from the 80s. I'm surprised they mentioned the Crabb Family, I thought they were fairly conservative. But then I haven't listened to Southern Gospel in about 15 years. I walk with bare, hushed feet the ground Ye tread with boldness shod;
I dare not fix with mete and bound The love and power of God. - J.G. Whittier |
