PSA for all my friends in the States! Stamp Out Hunger drive!
Tomorrow, May 12th, is Stamp Out Hunger day! The USPS, in conjunction with the National Association of Letter Carriers, is collecting non-perishable foods to restock the pantries of food banks all across the nation. Please leave a bag of canned or boxed, non-perishable food beside/in your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up tomorrow! Thanks for participating and working to stamp out hunger in the US!

Got my bag ready! It's been rainy the past few years, so I'm excited it will be dry.

I'm not sure how that would work considering I live in an apartment and our mailboxes are in a central area. It's more likely to get picked up by another tenant than the mail carrier.

I tried setting the bag out tonight, but the ants started looking at it. So I'll have to put it out in the morning.

The nearest post office branch would be happy to take donations, I'm sure. Or take them to the food bank yourself. If you wanted to make your mail carrier sweat for it, put a few cans in your box...

I'm sending the vast majority -- I shopped at Aldi with this in mind and got a lot of canned stuff --to work with my hubby in the morning. (It's nice to have a mailman in the house!) The stuff in boxes and a couple of coffee cans will go with our route mailman in the afternoon.
