Mother's Day

Aaaaaand....

My kids forgot. Totally forgot. My sister posted a picture on FB of all the cards and flowers her kids gave her. Very few of her kids live with her anymore. All of mine live with me. I was very jealous.

Hubby remembered but hadn't really had time to get me anything. He at least wished me a happy Mother's Day this morning, and brought home donuts. (He then proceeded to spend the entire afternoon at the Y and the library.) When he finally came home, we went out to get ingredients for dinner (I wanted bacon cheeseburgers) and he got me sugar-free chocolates and a glass container with living tulips. He also called the kids to remind them that it was Mother's Day. Up until that point, it wasn't a very good day.

I got flowers and a sweet card from my husband, and my son made a card and signed it from him and his sister (that caused a fight.) I helped the Children's Church kids paint flower pots and we planted petunias in them. Both of my kids decided to give theirs to my MIL.

My son planted the remaining petunias in planters here at home, and my daughter snuggled with me and watched AFV. I told her I liked her "gift" the best.

My kids made me cards in class, then in the morning asked me where our card making supplies were and made me another card. We went out for Korean tacos for lunch, my favorite and had a picnic. Then we took the kids go karting and fed alligators. It was a fun day n
