I truly wish the election cycle was about things of true national importance...little things like the economy or national security.

But to get back on topic: Do people here think that the government can ever be reformed out of the nearly undifferentiated two-party system? Or will it collapse first? Is power something that will always be handed down to the same groups of people (money/corporations) even in the case of revolutions?

Based on what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah we may what to consider this pandering to "personal" choices a national security issue. The ashes are still blowing around the southern end of the Dead Sea.
