Anyone here remember Kent State? It was one of the things that began to turn me from a Carl McIntire fan fundy as a ninth grader to a pot smoking hippie in high school to someone who doesn't put much hope in politics at all.

Yes. I remember it well. I was young, but it was all over the tv.

Too young, but when I was a little older I remember seeing the famous picture of the grieving girl next to a student's body.

"Do not look so sad. We shall meet soon again.” “Please, Aslan,” said Lucy, “what do you call soon?” “I call all times soon,” said Aslan.

Did not know today was the anniversary. I was only 10 but I remember my friend's older brother, who was college age being furious about it. At that age I couldn't comprehend the significance of the event. I do remember him going to the war protests held at the University of Buffalo. Anyway.........

Such a turbulent time in our country's history. I was too young to remember, but like PW, remember the pictures.

It was a sad time. I think that year went a long way in turning more Americans against the war in Vietnam, and was one factor in Jimmy Carter being elected president 6 years later.
