Hello Anthony, if you have already emailed Mark Chappell, then you will be slandered so that anything you say will be discredited.
That was the case with a recent-former deacon at Freeway Baptist who did his homework, talked with 3 credible witnesses with first hand knowledge, and then tried to present the truth to his fellow deacons. Mark Chappell manipulated/deceived his deacons so that they would not listen to the truth from the one diligent and godly deacon. I am surprised that you did not know that after reading these blogs. Perhaps you should start with the truth that the deacon found and proced from there. God's speed.

My mother has attended Freeway Baptish Church for the last seven or eight years. I've found Mark Chappell to be a vile human being even before I knew of these ghosts from his past. I will refrain from venting my personal issues with him at this time, but may elaborate on them later. I feel this case is much more important to discuss though.

I don't believe the church members are being given any of the legitimate information. The few people I've informed were shocked. I'd like to get this information to them, but in all my searches online the information is very scattered and varying in facts. I've got a few pieces of solid evidence that I will keep to myself for now, but what I'd like to do is this... I'd like to get a packet of information together and go to the church on some random day and hand it out to the people. I am local in Phoenix, so it won't be an issue to make that happen. I have other plans of action at play, but I don't really want to discuss them openly as to give him any chance to stop me. I've already emailed him personally and told him that I'll do what it takes to expose him.

While I am certain that what I have already is enough to open people's eyes to who he is, I would like to gather more solid info before doing this. He has political powers supporting him (Trent Franks, Arizona Congressman) and a legal service that deals with internet content suppression and legal things of the sort. I will get kicked back. Personally, I don't care... I would rather spend my days chasing my tail then knowing about such a vile man and not saying anything as he continues to mentor children and families about how they should live their life... When clearly, he is not a man of God as I know Him to be.

Please email me or respond publicly or anything. Advice, information, anything to help keep this man from ruining another family. He didn't physically rape anybody in my family that I'm aware of, but he's torn it to pieces, and I don't want that to happen to anybody else.

Thank you.

According to the First Baptist Church of Long Beach history . Larry Chappell was there from December 1980-February 1992. And Mark took over the church April 1992-May 28 1999. Both got into trouble in this church right?

RE: should Mark Chappell an Admitted Molester still be a Pastor
Yes, Phil, you are absolutely right on the "Chappell history" in Long Beach - - and while Larry (Mark's Dad) was pastor there, Mark was youth pastor at a church in Connecticut where he got into much trouble with young girls there and was removed from his position as youth pastor. It was with more than one young girl - - and now the present pastor there is counselling one or two women (who are the grown-up girls) that Mark molested. Then Larry was put out of Long Beach because of sexual matters and Mark took over - then was put out because of sexual misbehavior. Now Larry "pastors" some church in Indio, CA., but web does not list him as pastor - just look on the site and he "teaches Bible studies". These "preachers" have not changed. Mark continues his deceitfulness in Phoenix.

RE: should Mark Chappell an Admitted Molester still be a Pastor
I read the accusations of the incident in Connecticut when this thread was first started. There's a 3 year gap between Connecticut and California. Did Mark run to California right after the accusations were found out and take refuge in his fathers church and get installed in some type of service capacity? What is the name of the church Larry "pastors" now? Is there a website or did you get that info from some type of other source?

RE: should Mark Chappell an Admitted Molester still be a Pastor
Mark was required to stay in Connecticut and take a job after the incidents there for almost a year. Then yes, he came out to "Daddy's church". After he was put out of Long Beach Church he worked (supposedly) in car sales and insurance sales. A family member (think it was an uncle) was formerly a pastor there in Phoenix and that is how he got in there! I'm not sure of the year but 2003 sounds right.

Look up Grace Baptist Church in La Quinta and you will find Larry Chappell teaching there as well as his wife, Maxine Chappell.
