HAC Student Handbook

RE: HAC Student Handbook
On campus amounted to roughly half of minimum wage, but since it was applied directly to your bill they got away with it. I worked in the dining hall my first year, but started Americall that summer. In an effort to earn overtime, I'd usually go in at 8am and leave at 10pm during the summers. Occasionally, I'd take the morning off. I liked summers at HAC, because it was laid back and I didn't have much to worry about besides work.

Yeah, I worked on-campus when I couldn't take Americal anymore, (thank you Grandma for paying my tuition) and I decided to do the math to see how much I made... about $3.25/hr. However, if you were lucky enough to get on "hourly" staff, you got $6.50/hr for every hour you worked past 20.

Wow....

When I was working security for OBC I was still making $8.00 an hour. I only got about 30 hours allotted to me per week though. I can't believe they pay their students so little! Angry

That really discredits the legitimacy of the school, even from the perspective of a fundy student. Dodgy What sucks more is that just because you are FEMALE you won't be allowed other job options to actually make a normal living. Keeping women in a sub-standard earnings position to keep them poor, needy, and submitted....check. Angry

Fundamentalism no longer has a hold on me - I'm free!

RE: HAC Student Handbook
Why are you gals worrying about work at HAC. Isn't work outside the home demeaning to your highest calling of being a completer and helpmeet to your hubby--the MOG.
Seriously though, I do not believe the student handbook is available ANYWHERE! A prospective student asked about getting one before applying on the HAC Connection-WOW! did she get reamed out!

RE: HAC Student Handbook
For the ones who have them, they should put them on eBay and see how high the bids go.

Well, that should tell her something! Of course, if she was canny enough to ask, she probably already suspects she wouldn't fit in there.

They couldn't complain about copyright then, could they? Of course, if someone mysteriously had a large supply, perhaps every prospective student could get a peek for a low, low price.Angel Since Hackers are always short of cash, maybe someone could visit places Hackers frequent, and casually mention they'd offer a reasonable price for a current handbook.Big Grin
