But more to the point, I find your comment to give me some slight pause in the way you've characterized redhot's opinion as "sad."

Would you think it equally as "sad" for someone to object to drinking or gambling or homosexuality based solely on the grounds that the people involved in those activities seem to be really happy doing what they do? If you think something is right or wrong then by all means hold that position but lets have none of this attempt to approaching the subject sideways by implying that you know what suits someone else's family (if indeed this is her family and not some other redheaded clan) better than they do.
