I'm just not sure how him telling it makes his kids need more or less therapy.

And speculations are...highly speculative.

Just a dose of my caustic wit....what I heard was, one of their children was stillborn and Santorum actually brought it home, wrapped it in a blanket, showed it to his children, sang to it, then buried it (possibly in a shoebox in the back yard.) My point is the guy is a nut who makes reproduction-oriented things into a giant production, and this was a sick bit of theater to run past his own family.
