Mendelian genetics is such a flawed model. This can technically happen to practically anyone with the way genes work.

Depends on how much racial mixing has gone on in your genetic history tho there are always mutations. It's extremely rare and the lottery would be more likely. Outside of founder effect, women are just as likely to have twins as other women. Statistics don't really work well with all situations from my readings tho YMMV. I' m the brown eyed child of blue eyed parents and yes they were my 'real' parents. My cousin who has the same Cherokee ancestory as myself has bright red hair coutesy of a red headed great great grandmother.

I was pregnant when we found out that we had an Aboriginal great great (...) grandmother. My mother had a lot of fun teasing me that bub would be born with lovely brown curly hair.
