RE: Typical $hit from a "concerned" pastor
Ages ago I read a page about the stages that you go through in leaving a cult. And I remember that one of the stages included that people often will write a letter to the cult leader, explaining the problems, and looking for help or answers. And the article pointed out that there was no point to it, as the person leaving the cult simply hasn't understood yet that the cult leader actually doesn't care. They really, really don't. They have their own agenda, and you are just a stumbling block. One that's easy to smoosh into the ground, too.

Just cut your ties and walk away. They don't care. They don't care how much noise you make because they don't care about doing right, they don't care about you, and they don't care about God. They just care about their own IFB agenda.

And one day, there will be many who say to him, "But Lord, in your name we did all these wonderful works!" and he'll say; "Depart from me, I never knew you."

Disclaimer: Do not intend to say ALL IFB pastors are in the above boat. I'm sure it will happen to some though, particularly the ones we see on the IFB pervs thread. I do believe my old pastor is saved, and genuine in his attempts to do what he sees as right, but I believe he has been deceived into following IFB teaching rather than biblical teaching, which has lead to some EXTREMELY hurtful decisions, and a complete inability to accept criticism and deal with such issues appropriately.

Plus, I'm really depressed tonight. Take what I say with a grain of salt.
