I think that anybody who is saved will want others to know the beauty that is salvation. However, how we show that desire may look very different to the 'evangelism' that occurs within fundyism.
I'm sure there are some fundies who honestly love those around them and desire for them to know salvation. They may tract drop etc. because they simply don't know any other way to express their love for people. But then there are others who go through the motions, who "go witnessing" because that's what good christians do, etc. My local IFB basement college requires its students to spend a certain amount of hours tract dropping or door knocking. Jesus honestly cared about people. He gave of himself, and they wanted what he had. I honestly think, even if they'd had printing presses back then, he wouldn't have touched a tract. It's too impersonal. Our love is the digital transfer of information ![]()
