Have you read stuff from other religions? I think some very interesting things can be read in the philosophies/religions of the East.
Richard Carrier, who I mentioned above, started off as a Taoist and still apparently has a lot of respect for its ideals and practices. He goes into this in his book "Sense and goodness without God", but also mentions it in this article.

The writer of the triangulations blog is an atheist, who is also quite open to eastern religions / mysticism.
