RE: '19 Kids and Counting' Gets Stranger, Sadder
Aren't they also ATI? ATI philosophy is fairly anti-contraception of any kind, as I recall, and a big part of the whole "quiver fill" movement.
Forget the fear/it's just a crutch/that tries to hold you back/and turn your dreams to dust. |

The Duggars are very much ATI. This is what is theorized to be the basis of the handout that Michelle passed around:
http://ati.iblp.org/ati/supportlink/kb/questions/99/ ATI ideas on having tons of children: http://ati.iblp.org/ati/supportlink/kb/q...%27s+gifts (I'm calling horse-shit on their assertion that their month old fetus was fully formed and had a distinct sex) "ABRAHAM DIED FOR YOUR LOX AND MATZO BALLS!" |

On paper it doesn't sound so destructive...but in reality and in practice I know its so. much. worse.

I rewrote some of them and posted it to NLQ's forum a week ago. I think my version is closer to reality: Realize that your husband’s perspective is different than yours. A man’s goals often involve long-range achievement through successful sales programs such as Amway. This is why a man is willing to sacrifice short-term convenience such as food, shelter, and clothing in order to meet an important long-term goal. Women's brains can't possibly comprehend the wisdom in such a venture and should keep the “big picture” in mind. Accept difficult situations from God and don't bother praying because god does not have time for your petty bullshit. Believe in your husband—no matter what. Loyalty can be demonstrated only in adversity. A husband needs to know that his wife is committed to him no matter what and that she will help him get rid of the dead hookers that keep piling up in the garage. It’s God’s job to convict your husband—not yours. Trust in God to work everything together for good, even though god gave your husband free will so in the end your husband can do whatever the fuck he wants. Learn it, woman. Enjoy the privilege of physical intimacy. It is a privilege to be your husband's sexual slave 24/7. However, if he feels that he does not want sex, you are a whore for wanting intimacy. Godly women do not have sex drives. Honor your husband’s God-given authority. Women are stupid but men are godly and therefore deserve unwavering devotion regardless of what they do. The Lord will direct your life through your husband’s leadership and protection, except when your husband is exercising free will, then god has nothing to do with it. God will bless you as long as you do whatever your husband says. That is the plan, and it works, except when it doesn't and when it doesn't that's the devil not god. Trust God. Reverence your husband...or else! Submission to your husband is a reflection of your faith in God. Only godless whores are not submissive to their husbands! Don’t undermine your husband’s leadership. We all know the Titanic sank because some woman was nagging the captain about driving too fast. Don't be that wife! Stay beautiful for your husband. A wife should strive to dress in ways that make her husband want to keep pumping out babies. Except when that dress is immodest and causes men to have sexual thoughts. It's probably best to wear a burka outside of the home. Godliness shines through women in the form of beauty, but judicious use of cosmetics and grooming will enhance god's work. Practice self-control, especially in the area of diet. God Your husband is concerned about the bondage of overeating and gluttony, and many wives struggle with the issue of self-control, especially after giving birth to children. Weight control requires consistent conformity to God’s your husband's principles of living. Exercise and diet constantly so no one will think you are trying to make your husband stumble by going to fuck some whore who isn't as submissive and godly as you are. Bitterness is the #1 cause of weight gain. Recognize the benefits of his time alone. A man’s desire to be alone with God does not indicate rejection of his wife but rather provides him with an opportunity to gain a broader perspective on life and to be refreshed spiritually. A woman's desire to be alone is sinful. Women are to be refreshed by serving others and have no need for alone time. "ABRAHAM DIED FOR YOUR LOX AND MATZO BALLS!" |

Yeah, they blamed their first miscarriage on the "sin" of using birth control. What "sin" cause the miscarriage of this most recent baby? I thought they were doing everything right? Man, it sure is easy to piss off "God" and make him kill your babies at random if you aren't doing everything just right...

RE: '19 Kids and Counting' Gets Stranger, Sadder
Have you seen the pictures of Michelle's hand - well, her finger - holding the baby's hand? It's really sad and disturbing.
We all have our own inner angry natives and our minds invent a million ways to avoid confronting them directly. But if you just look them in the eye and ask them why they're chasing you with spears you just might learn something about yourself. |

Also, yeah, there's no way the fetus was fully formed at 4 weeks. It's not even at "tadpole" stage, yet. And 7 weeks is the earliest sex can be determined that I'm aware of, and that's with a blood test. What on earth. It would have to have been farther along for either of those things to be true.
