Ron Paul double reimbursement scandal

Hah.. how fun to stop in and check my messages, and see this kind of willful ignorance. Ron Paul consistently returned unused money to the Treasury that was pre-allocated Congressional office funds that he could've just spent. So yeah, he's "stealing" money by double booking so he can return it back to the Treasury. Bwahaha. Right.

Hate is strong but the truth is stronger. All it takes is a simple search but apparently that's too hard for some people.

I actually have to say I'm inclined to believe Don123 on this one. Ron Paul has been accused of a somehow running various scams on the government dime over airfares. They've all been proven to be horse manure in the past, and I strongly suspect the same of this one. Reporters kind of stink at sticking to the facts on these kinds of detailed stories, sadly. Just a month or 2 ago, the AP reported he was booking 1st class tickets on the tax payer dime that I was just mildly amused by, but turned out no such thing had ever happened, had just used his points to upgrade standard tickets to first class like most frequent travelers regularly do.

Roll Call is usually more careful. I've not yet seen any facts they printed that are disproven. This Liberty group apparently dropped support for Paul over the issue; that says something.

It wouldn't really be worthy of comment at all if he wasn't help up as this white knight who was gonna save us all from the gubmit.
