Dear NDTK,

He has made it clear that he does not want a pump. He gets freaked out by the idea of the insertion set. I'm happy b/c I hear all the horror stories of failures. His endo said it's actually not a bad thing since he won't have scarring to worry about when he's older and wants a pump. (He's 8.) Many kids end up with so much scar tissue that they have to discontinue using a pump when they are older.

So for now, he gets at least 4 shots a day.
