A message about HAC
You are a group of mangy dogs that have done so much evil in your days that your empire is about to fall by your simple fuck up.
It's on is all I can say What was done in the dark is brought to the light very very soon. |

RE: A message about HAC
What brought that up? I saw you posting asking if some friends had received a letter - is this to do with that? Are you ok?

Bro, enough with the vagueness. Just come out and say what you have to say. I'm not trying to be harsh here, but really, you can say what you want to say on this forum without worrying about getting the backhand from Hyles.

RE: A message about HAC
I believe it has something to do with the Jericho Plan. His ex-girlfriend/fiance got a letter from HAC about it. Apparently, they haven't shut the program down and are still accepting new applicants. Only, it's a bit illegal for a church-run school to act like a bank and loan money with interest. Awesome thing is that her dad is a lawyer and ex-cop, if I understood what he was saying last night correctly.
I could also be very wrong on this, so.... ![]() (05-31-2012 01:25 AM)myotch Wrote: How did your parents take it when you told them you were female? |

Quote:I believe it has something to do with the Jericho Plan. Given SomethingFundy's previous posts I would say that is likely correct. I'm sure we'll find out about the rest of it in time. I don't think it's illegal for a 501©3 to loan money at interest, as long as they loan is for a purpose related to the stated goals of the institution. FBC Hammond has gone through much more severe challenges and survived. BJU has gone through more severe challenges and survived. Getting angry and seeking revenge against a religious institution is futile in most cases. Fundamentalist institutions have thick armor and can withstand many blows. They hang on years and years longer than anyone can imagine they can. The Hyles sex scandals were 20 years ago and FBC Hammond is still around. They aren't going to collapse over a lawsuit worth a few thousand at best. |

It's not going to collapse overnight but the combined force of each case does begin to have an impact. The problem is that the folks who are left at these institutions are ones who are willfully ignorant of the problems. They're not going to be easily swayed.
