It amazes me now how many hours I put in at sub-minimum wage jobs on campus (dining common, post office, hall girl, library, registration and check-in, homesat, etc. etc.) just to barely make it through college. Sometimes I didn't even have enough money to buy soap.

They don't like people hanging out in the dorms. Can't keep an eye on you that way. I bet if they could, they'd make a rule that you couldn't go back to the dorms till after dinner.

I had to quit my dishwash job. It was becoming too exhausting between classes homework, choir, piano practice etc.
