I think Job's wife is quite possibly the most harshly judged character in the scriptures. If I put myself in her shoes, sitting on the hard ground among the corpses of thousands of dead animals while cradling the bodies of my ten dead children, I would have some choice words for God, too. She followed her husband and his God faithfully and got her heart torn out in return. And then, we make her legacy her one moment of expressed weakness.

What of her faithfulness? Her bravery? She had more children! She gave God the chance to destroy her again. Would that I could trust God like that.

God is capable of boundless love, and boundless cruelty. To deny one of these is to render Him controllable, which to me, would be prideful.
