Chamomile I don't like because my mother always made me drink it when I was sick, so it reminds me of being sick. I tried making mint tea and still didn't like it. I guess I'll have to try green tea next. "Funny, you're the broken one, but I'm the only one who needed saving." |

RE: Tea
Red Rooibos tea, with a bit of sweetener is my favorite of all time because to me it tastes like white cake batter and my favorite cake is white cake (when I make it) so it is a wonderful little treat of cake with no calories. I drink English Breakfast tea throughout the year and whenever a friend comes over I always make a pot as a tradition. Green tea I drink a lot of when I am trying to get my diet back under control but that is the only time, unless I happen to have found more Gunpowder Green lose tea (which I used to buy at CostPlus World Market) and in that case I will make a pot, sit outside and just kind of zen myself while sipping.
Otherwise I am a coffeeaholic. If I were to remove every person, place or thing that offended me I would live in an empty and barren place and that would offend me. |

RE: Tea
My husband drinks about 6 cups of tea a day.
He buys tea leaves from Adagio Tea and Stash Tea, and Red Rose tea bags. I'll drink it cold w/lemon and sweetener. I guess it's better than diet soda, but mostly I drink water and Atkins shakes.

RE: Tea
I'm trying to reduce my caffeine intake. This is day 2 of restricted my coke drinking to before 2.30 pm. Ouch.
I want to start drinking herbal tea because I've been reading books about health and dieting and stuff and they all seem to recommend it, and I figure since I'm going off coke and don't want to go back on to coffee (what I drank before) it would be nice to have a relaxing drink that's good for me. But the herbal teas I've tried so far are disgusting. I've got one at the moment, I think it's orange and honey? Or something. It doesn't taste like grass. It tastes foul. Might try chamomile I guess, lol. Our love is the digital transfer of information ![]()

RE: Tea
Do you like raspberries? Or blue-berries or fruit? Those teas are quite nice.

RE: Tea
I drink tea daily; coffee infrequently. One day I will have a tea shelf whenever our kitchen is complete. I heart tea.
Twinings Breakfast Tea. Green Jasmine. Gunpowder. Lipton's Black Currant Lipton's Vanilla Caramel Truffle Cold Cinnamon Tea, mexican style. New favorite herbal Bengal Spice by Celestial Seasonings. Very chai but with a carob kick. Vervain Orange Flower |

RE: Tea
I'm giving up caffeine. So now I'm drinking a lot of herbal and caffeine-free teas. I'm really liking this organic ginkgo tea by Yogi. I think I'll try their nighttime valerian/chamomile mix next time I see it in a store.

RE: Tea
On those days I drink tea, it's Bigelow's Plantation Mint, Bigelow's Mint Medley (herbal), or Bigelow's Orange Spice. I tried their Constant Comment, thinking it might be the non-herbal version of the Orange Spice, but the spice is heavily clove, which I detest. (I can take it on a baking ham, but otherwises, blech!)
Celestial Seasoning's Berry Zinger tea is really nice, as is their Beddybye blend. (Both are herbal.) However, I thought the Lemon Zinger tasted the way Lemon Pledge smells ... not fun! RE: Tea
I don't much care for black tea, hot or iced. Growing up, my wife spent summers with relatives in Mississippi, where she acquired a taste for Sweet Tea. Makes my teeth hurt. One cup of green tea put me off it for life. Nasty stuff!
During Advent and Lent, I go off caffeine, so I want a hot beverage other than coffee. (Decaf just makes me want the real thing more.) Some people just drink hot water. I can't. It's got a bad taste that's hard to explain. I drink some camomile (it's the only one I'll drink unsweetened) peppermint is good, as is a mint and camomile blend, but most of my favorites are the "fruity" varieties. I used to drink Celestial Seasonings, and I still like some of their older flavors, like Mandarin Orange Spice, but their newer fruity flavors taste too much like Kool-Aid. More often I drink Bigelow herb teas. I Love Lemon is the best thing for a sore throat, and it tastes good, too. None of the grocery stores around here carry it any more, but you can still order it directly from Bigelow. I just finished a cup of Bigelow Red Raspberry. Good stuff! RE: Tea
Herbal teas are my favorite. On top of the list is green tea which I drink every day. Then, there's hibiscus tea which I mostly drink on a lazy day. Has anyone tried those?
