I don’t think you understand what ‘civil rights’ are. You should read what ‘rights’ are protected by civil rights. Civil rights apply to religion and that is a choice. Do you ‘detest’ the way religion has ‘hi-jacked’ civil rights? While you are imagining how ‘black’ people feel, how do you think ‘they’ feel when people ask for fair treatment regardless of their religion?

I am a fairly simple man, that is probably why I have no idea what you are talking about. Oh and btw, wipe that spittle off the corner of your mouth, it's not very becoming.

Hummm. I thought I was pretty clear. You said that since homosexuality is a choice, it shouldn’t be protected by civil rights. Then you said that you imagine ‘black’ people are outraged by homosexual’s hi-hacking civil rights.

I then proceeded to explain that there are a number of different groups or classes that are protected by civil rights, and one of these classes is religion. So religion [which we chose] is a protected category, and so is race. Your original statement says that ‘chosen’ behaviors don’t merit civil rights, only things that you are ‘born’ into or born with. I wanted to know if your hypothetical ‘black man’ would detest religious people that ‘hi-jacked’ civil rights, trying to get fair treatment.

As to the spittle on my lip, I check the mirror and I’m not sure what you were talking about.

Believe me, the vast majority of your rhetoric does make me want to be extremely unkind, but I have refrained out of respect for Darrell and the others in this forum. That's what I think you secretly want (if you can say I "choose" my lifestyle, I can say what I "think" you want)--you want to goad people into being nasty so you can say "Oh, look at the hateful left-wing liberal gay agenda! I'm still somewhat confused (imagine that!) but I'll give it at least one more shot.

1) I did not say that "since homosexuality is a choice it shouldn't be protected by civil rights."

2) I did not say "chosen behaviours don't merit civil rights."

3) I did not say that "I imagine black people are outraged by homosexuals hi-jacking civil rights."

Can you see how a simple man, such as myself could get confused? So what's left?

Freedom of religion is guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, in fact, it is one of the primary reasons our forefathers came here, surely you see no such right in our Constitution for the perverse practice of homosexuality?

Mind-reading in the homosexual community is probably about as prevalent as the ability of Christians to know whether or not homosexuals "choose" their sexual orientation. Now who's being unkind?

Scriptures may be truth to you, and may not be to someone else. Believing them is YOUR "choice."

Glad to know we're winning the culture war. I've been so busy ruining straight people's marriages and trying to destroy society that I just haven't had time to notice.
