Agreed. All throughout fundy school (elementary, middle, and high, excluding my senior year) I was very easily manipulated and would try to follow everyone else's "convictions" because I figured that since they were supposed to be my spiritual leader, that they were more "spiritual" than me. This lead to me trying to live a life in which I tried to be someone that I wasn't, just so the pastor might approve of me. I'm glad that I realized that it doesn't matter what the pastor (or any other church leader) thinks of my non-sinful actions, and that if he doesn't like what style of hair that I have or what music I listen to that it isn't really any of his business.

I no longer believe that God tells some of us that it is wrong for us to do something and then tells other people that it is not wrong for them to do the same thing. Of course, some people may prefer not to do something because of personal reasons, but I don't think that it is a sin issue. I'm honestly still trying to figure out where I stand doctrinally/theologically, so these are just a few of my thoughts on this issue at the moment.
